Kimshung: first ascent

On 20 October 2025, François Cazzanelli, Giuseppe Vidoni, Lukas Waldner and Benjamin Zörer became the first to reach the summit of Kimshung (6,781 m) in the Langtang Himal, Nepal, establishing the ‘Destiny’ route (1,300 m, 60°, AI4, M5) on the north-east face. For Cazzanelli, this marks the conclusion of a project that began in 2015 and spanned four expeditions: the first had been cut short by the earthquake that struck Nepal that year.
